GOODBYE 2020, HELLO 2021

If there's anything we can all agree on it's that 2020 was a year full of growth with its ups and downs. I definitely learned a lot this year and hope that I continue to learn in the upcoming year. Despite what the world looks like at the moment, the start of a new year is the perfect time to set resolutions. I wanted to write down my resolutions so that I can reflect back on them at the end of the year. Here are my resolutions for 2021:


  • One Zatarain's Crawfish & Seafood Boil in a Bag  

  • lbs of unpeeled shrimp with heads on (or your seafood of choice) 

  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter 

  • 8 teaspoons of Old Bay seasoning 

  • 4 teaspoons of cajun seasoning 

  • 2 teaspoons of paprika 

  • 2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper 

  • 2 teaspoons of chili powder 

  • 2 teaspoons of lemon pepper 

  • 2 teaspoons of sugar 

  • 2 teaspoons of Louisiana hot sauce  

  • 1/4 cup of chopped garlic 

  • 1 cup of fresh lemon juice 


  • 2-3 ears of corn 

  • lb of potatoes 

  • lb of andouille sausages 

  • 2-3 limes 

  • salt 

  • pepper 

Career Goals:

  1. Study for LSAT and take the LSAT for the first time between (October/November 2021)
  2. Complete MCLE requirements for Paralegal in California
  3. Assist in 1-2 trials in 2021
  4. Become a licensed Notary in California

Relationship Goals:

  1. Biweekly date nights
  2. Experience something new together each month
  3. Split chores 50/50 (He tends to do 70% of the chores haha)

Travel Goals:

  1. Go to Hawaii (we cancelled our trip in November 2020 so we would like to go this year)
  2. Visit at least one new city this year
  3. Visit at least one new state this year
  4. If possible (dependent on the Covid-19 situation), add one travel stamp on passport

Finance Goals:

  1. Pay off at least $10,000 of student loan debt
  2. Save for a down payment on a house
  3. (Hopefully) buy a house at the end of 2021

Social Media Goals:

  1. Post one photo on Instagram every Monday-Friday (weekends off) without missing any days
  2. Create one Instagram Reel/TikTok at least every other day
  3. Write one new blog post every week
  4. Post one YouTube video at least once a week (ideally one every other week)
  5. Generate income from social media (at least $1,000/month)
  6. Grow to at least 25,000 followers/subscribers combined on all social media networks
